Helen’s Scramble Burgers

This recipe comes from our friend Dr. Tailgate, whose mother-in-law gave everyone a timeout from turkey with a big batch of sloppy joes, plus buns from Aunt Millie's.

Helen’s Scramble Burgers


  • Aunt Millie’s Dinner Rolls
  • 2 lbs ground meat (beef, pork or turkey)
  • 12 oz favorite BBQ Sauce
  • ¼ c. chili powder
  • ½ c. diced onions
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • Aunt Millie’s Sliced Dinner Rolls


  1. Brown meat in medium heat skillet
  2. Add onions to soften.
  3. Add chili Powder
  4. Stir in BBQ sauce
  5. Serve on Aunt Millie’s Dinner Rolls.
  6. Top with sliced dill pickles and raw onion.
  7. Add pickled jalapeno slices for the bold.
  8. A light touch of yellow mustard to top bun also adds a little extra snap!
